Help: Earning

Advertising

Placing advertising is a way to earn on platform iqpi.io by offering sponsors and advertisers your surfaces: a tournament or club banner, text integration in a description, a club post, or a block in the profile. You make the deal outside the platform (the sponsor pays you), and you place the creative in the iqpi.io UI yourself.

Using the platform for advertising via your own content (tournaments, clubs, profile, club posts) is normal practice on iqpi.io. Do not send pushy ads in chats and direct messages or break club rules or the user agreement (spam, unwanted outreach).

Below — which surfaces are available, how to set them up, and how this differs from other ways to earn.

The idea of earnings

What you sellWhere you place itWho pays
Attention of the tournament audiencetournament banner + descriptionsponsor to you (outside the platform)
Attention of the club audienceclub banner, description, postsponsor to you / the club
Attention of profile followers“About me”, social linkssponsor to you

The platform does not sell a separate “ad cabinet” and does not take a commission from your deal with the sponsor. You agree on price, timing, and creative yourselves, then upload materials to your sections.

This adds to organizer earnings (fee share, donations) and paid clubs: ads bring income from brands, not only from players.

On the tournament page and in catalog cards a background image (banner) is shown. In the creation UI this is the “Background image” field.

How to use it for ads:

  1. Create or edit a tournament (Creating a tournament).
  2. On the banner step press “Upload image”.
  3. Upload the sponsor layout (logo, slogan, brand style).
  4. Format: JPEG / PNG / WebP; recommended size 1920×600 px.

The banner is a background image: there is no separate “link button” from the banner. Add the sponsor site link and offer text in the tournament description (see below).

If no image is uploaded, the default game banner is used.

A club also has a “Background image” on the public page (hero block).

  1. Create a club or open editing: /lk/clubs/create or /lk/clubs/{slug}/edit.
  2. In main settings set the banner: upload your file or pick from the “Background catalog”.
  3. UI hint: JPEG / PNG / WebP, aspect ratio 3:1, recommended size 1536×512 px.

Rights: founder or a member with “Edit club data”. Details: Clubs.

As with a tournament, ad clickability comes from links in the description and club social networks.

Ad integration in the description

In descriptions you can place a text integration: brand name, terms, call to action, and hyperlinks.

WhereHow to openWhat to write
Tournamentcreation wizard, “Description” steptournament sponsor, link to site / landing; optional “Stream link” (YouTube / Twitch / VK Video)
Clubcreate / edit club — description fieldswho sponsors the club, offer, links; “Social networks” block
Player profileedit profile → “About me”streamer / author / brand integration; “Social networks”

The editor supports text formatting and links (not Markdown). The tournament description is visible on the tournament page; the club description — in “About the club”; “About me” — on the public profile.

Practical approach: logo and visuals on the banner, details and clickable URLs in the description.

Ad post in a club

Club posts are public publications on the club page. You can use them as ad material: title, text, cover, links.

  1. Join the club and make sure you have “Create posts” (on by default for members too).
  2. On the club page: “Create post” (or via the account “My posts”/lk/posts).
  3. Fill in “Title”, “Post text”, and “Image” if needed.
  4. Publish the post (or save a draft).

Visitors of the public club page see the post. Admins can delete posts under club rules; a post can be reported.

Respect that club’s rules: the rules template forbids spam and pushy links — agree placement with the founder/admins if you are not the club owner.

More about posts: Clubs.

What this is not

Do not confuseWhy
“Tournament sponsor” badgeMarks a player who added funds to the prize pool, not an ad banner
Ads “from the platform” in gamesGames are positioned without pushy in-game ads; you place content in your sections
Cabinet to buy ads from iqpi.ioThere is no separate marketplace of slots (home, rooms) for users
Donation to organizerVoluntary transfer to the organizer — Donations, not brand ad payment

Rules and boundaries

Allowed (typical earning scenario):

  • upload a sponsor layout as the tournament or club background image;
  • write an ad integration in the tournament, club, or profile description with links;
  • publish an ad post in a club (with rights and respecting club rules).

Do not:

  • spam ads in chats or send unwanted messages;
  • break club rules and the user agreement on spam and unwanted ads in communication spaces;
  • present someone else’s brand as official iqpi.io advertising.

Payment from the sponsor goes to you (or the club by your agreement) — the platform does not process that payment and does not take a cut of the deal.

FAQ

Does the platform pay for placing a banner?

No. You earn from an agreement with the sponsor; iqpi.io provides space in your content.

Is the tournament/club banner clickable?

The banner is an image. Link clicks go via description, post, or social networks.

Can I advertise in the tournament/club chat?

Do not send pushy ads in chats. Use the banner, description, and club posts.

Is this the same as a participant’s “Tournament sponsor”?

No. The sponsor badge is for topping up the prize pool. The ad banner is your background image.

Do I need a separate “advertiser” account?

No. An organizer / club owner / profile account is enough.
