Tetris on the iqpi.io platform is classic Tetris online in the browser: a game against a live opponent or solo play. You can play for free or play Tetris for money in IQPIC tokens — a rated game with a Buy-in fee, plus prize Tetris tournaments.
In the creation form this is the “Tetris: Classic” mode. The mode that sends attack lines to the opponent is separate: Tetris: Attack.
Below — how to create a game, how the winner is decided, controls, and where to view rating.
The game runs in the personal account (lk).
Related topics: Tetris: Attack, Rated games, Prize tournaments, Balance management.
What this mode is
| Goal in PvP | Score more points than the opponent (both play until the well fills) |
| Versus | Live opponent or solo play (no second player) |
| Game type | Unrated or Rated (with Buy-in in IQPIC) |
| Tournaments | Yes — Tetris discipline, Classic mode |
| Skill rating | Tetris category (tetris), separate from Attack |
In the form /game/create/tetris, field “Game mode”:
- “Tetris: Classic” — this article;
- “Tetris: Attack” → Tetris: Attack.
For Classic there are no “starting level” or “attack type” settings — only mode and game type (plus challenging an opponent).
In Tetris there is no “play vs bot” mode like in chess (Stockfish). There is only a solo game.

How to create a game vs a human
- Open
/lk→ Tetris vs human (or/game/create→ Tetris). - On
/game/create/tetris, under “Game mode”, select “Tetris: Classic”. - Choose “Game type”:
- “Unrated game”;
- “Rated game” — active balance and Buy-in.
- Click create game → room
/game/tetris/{hash}. - Wait for an opponent from the waiting list or invite via challenge / link.
Fee details: Rated games.
Challenging a player
From an avatar, the online table, or a profile you can challenge — Tetris creation opens with that opponent already set.
Solo play
/lk→ solo (or/game/create/tetris?solo=1).- Mode “Tetris: Classic”.
- Create the game and play immediately.
A solo game is always unrated: Buy-in and challenge are unavailable. This is practice on your own well, not a duel against a configurable bot like in chess.
How Classic works
There are no separate “speed”, “number of lines”, or handicap fields in the creation form.
| Parameter | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Drop speed | Grows with your points (level depends on score) |
| Points for lines | 1 line — 100, 2 — 300, 3 — 700, 4 — 1500 |
| Attack lines | No (that is Attack mode) |
Current on-screen labels: “My points”, in a duel — “Opponent’s points”, next-piece preview.
How the winner is determined
| Situation | Result |
|---|---|
| Both finished (well filled / game over) | Higher score wins; on equality — draw |
| One resigned | Loss for the resigning player |
| Opponent already finished | Screen may show “Finished game” — you can finish your well, then scores are compared |
In a rated game, Buy-in transfer follows the general rules: Rated games.
Rated game and Buy-in
- Game type → “Rated game”.
- Enter Buy-in in IQPIC (nearby reference amounts in USDT / GRAM).
- You cannot enter more than your level limit or more than your balance.
- Both the creator and the player who sits at the table must have enough IQPIC.
Without an active balance, the rated option is unavailable (“Unavailable when balance is inactive”).
Top-up: Balance management.
