Clubs on the iqpi.io platform — player communities around Chess or Tetris (including an online chess club): public page, members, posts, chat, club tournaments, and configurable roles. These are not gaming machines or a casino “club” — only communities on iqpi.io. Paid membership is a separate earning topic: Paid clubs.

What a club is
A club has:
- avatar, banner, name, country, main game (Chess or Tetris);
- description and Club rules;
- social links (Lichess, Twitch, Discord, etc.);
- join mode and membership type (free / paid);
- roles and permissions;
- posts, club chat, club tournaments;
- with permissions — broadcasts to members.
Clubs are visible in the catalog to everyone. The Private filter means join by application, not hiding the page from the catalog.
Main game — only Chess or Tetris (including Capital Chess / Tetris: Attack modes inside club tournaments). Swedish (Bughouse) cannot be chosen as the club’s main game.
Catalog
/clubs — without signing in you can browse the list and open pages.
Filters (no text search in the catalog):
| Filter | Options |
|---|---|
| Country | country selection |
| Access | all / Open / Private (by application) |
| Game | all / Chess / Tetris |
| Sort | New / Popular |
On the card: name, short description, member count, founder, game, access mark, Paid badge for paid membership.

Editing

Sections of /lk/clubs/{slug}/edit:
| Section | Content |
|---|---|
| Main settings | avatar, banner, name, country, game, description, Club rules |

| User permissions | toggles for Administrators and Club members |

Roles and permissions
Hierarchy: founder → super admin → administrator → coordinator → member.
On the public page the Administrators block is visible; assignment — Assign / Demote. A member can request a role (Become admin and similar) — the request goes to the founder and creates a dialog in Messenger (“Request sent. A dialog with the club founder has been created in Messenger.”).
The permission matrix is changed by the founder and super admin. The founder always has all permissions.
Example permissions (UI labels):
- edit club data;
- create simple / prize tournaments;
- create posts; delete posts and comments;
- manage chat (delete messages, block access);
- exclude members; create broadcasts;
- accept join applications — off by default for administrators: for a “by application” club the permission must be enabled manually.
For members, creating posts is on by default; creating tournaments is off (can be enabled in the matrix).
Exclusion: a reason is required; the member gets a DM; status — ban on joining.
Posts
- feed and creation:
/clubs/{slug}/posts,/clubs/{slug}/posts/create; - your posts in the account:
/lk/posts.
Requires active membership and permission to create posts. Post: title, text, cover; statuses draft (author only) / published.
Any signed-in user can write comments (membership not required). Replies and deletion by permissions exist.
Club chat
Club chat panel on the club / post page — conversation among club members. Moderation (delete messages, block) — by administrator permissions.
This is not the site-wide chat and not the personal chats tab. Site chats and DMs: Chats, Messenger.
Club tournaments
On the club page the Tournaments block → Create tournament (with permission to create simple / prize tournaments and enough balance for tournament creation).
| Club tournament | Regular tournament | |
|---|---|---|
| Binding | to the club | no club |
| Who can register | club members only (“Tournament for club members only”) | by tournament rules (including “friends only” — a tournament option, not a club option) |
Creation wizard: Creating a tournament. Organizer earnings: Organizing tournaments. Donations in a tournament: Donations (in club tournaments the “receive donations” permission is set in club permissions).
Broadcasts
With permission to create broadcasts, the founder / admins can send a message to club members from the public page. History and details — in the account among club / posts tools (see current buttons on the club page).
